Abdulvahid (Vahid) is a yoga therapist, mindfulness coach, and long-time Bikram Yoga teacher with a global teaching background and over 10,000 hours of experience. Certified as an RYT 500 and C-IAYT therapist, he has spent the past decade guiding students across seven countries and three continents. His approach weaves together ancient Eastern traditions and modern Western science, supported by a Master of Science degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health.
Since becoming a certified Bikram Yoga teacher in 2012, Vahid has led thousands of classes, workshops, and retreats, helping people not just stretch their bodies, but stretch their perception—encouraging deeper awareness, nervous system regulation, and the courage to face life with presence and clarity. He is the founder of Wellness Assembly Services, where he works one-on-one with clients, consults with companies on wellness strategy, and speaks to audiences seeking real tools for personal transformation.
He’s also the author of two books. Lurking in the Parking Lot: Teachings of a Delusional Monk is a collection of 40 short fictional stories that open hidden doors in the mind and offer unexpected spiritual insight. His latest work, The Practice Beyond the Posture: Mental Dialogues of the Original Hot Yoga, dives into the psychological and meditative landscape of the 26+2 series. It’s written for practitioners and teachers alike who want to go beyond the script and explore what really happens inside a consistent hot yoga practice.
Born in Turkey, Vahid often has to explain that his name is spelled with a “V” but pronounced like a “W”—“Waa-hid”—because the Turkish alphabet doesn’t include the letter W. That blend of precision and playfulness shows up in his teaching too. Whether you meet him in the hot room or on the page, you’ll quickly notice: he’s not just here to lead a class. He’s here to help you
