In 2008, after receiving a gift certificate for a week of yoga for my birthday (to help alleviate chronic back pain I was suffering), I reluctantly tried a class. My very first yoga class ever! I wasn’t sure if I loved it or hated it, but I went back. Again and again and again. It was hot and uncomfortable, but I began to love the challenge, the teachers, and the results. Next thing you know, I’m in a class daily! Then, in 2013, I went to Teacher Training in Los Angeles with Bikram. I love this yoga. I believe in this yoga. This yoga has gotten me through good times and bad. This community is loving, compassionate, and accepting. I am a frequent traveler and take classes wherever I go. No matter what language the class is taught in, I am transported to my happy place when I stand on my mat, put my knuckles under my chin, and start Pranayama. As a teacher, I hope that you find that same happiness and feel at home when you stand on your mat in class with me.
