How to Prepare
Welcome! Regardless of your age, level of fitness and flexibility, or amount of experience, Hot yoga is a practice for you! The Bikram series was specifically designed for all levels, beginner through advanced, to provide a complete mind-body workout. Sweat with us to develop strength, flexibility, patience, determination, and enhanced well-being!
COME PREPARED TO BREATHE, SWEAT, STRETCH, AND SMILE!
- Please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled class start time to register and notify your teacher of any injuries.
- Wear light clothing that you are comfortable sweating in.
- Bring a yoga mat and large beach towel with you. These items are available for purchase or rental at the studio.
- Come well hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Bring a large bottle of water with you to class, or purchase a bottle of water at the studio.
- Refrain from eating 1-3 hours before class.
- No cell phones in the hot room. Only bring your mat, towel, and water into the yoga studio. Leave any other belongings in the changing rooms.
- Stay in the room during class. Feel free to take breaks, but just sit down on your mat.
- Class is 90 minutes. We ask that you stay for the entire class, including the final savasana. After all, you deserve that relaxation!
- It's called a yoga practice not a yoga perfect for a reason. As long as you try your best, you receive the same therapeutic benefits as someone who has been practicing for years.
- Practice 4-5 times per week. Of course, any yoga is better than no yoga, but you will receive maximum benefits with a consistent, dedicated practice.
New students, please print out your registration form, fill it out, and bring it with you to your first class.
